We just came from the rally this weekend. Brought 4 other couples with us some coming from Iowa. Had told them about this rally and how we didn't do VIP last year and that we were this year because that way you got to sit up front for the boxing, you had a waitress and you were up by the stage for all of the Saturday night events. They thought that sounded great. We get there Friday and buy out tickets we asked again if it was going to be the same as last year and was told yes. We spent the extra $50.00 per couple and headed in. We did get a table Friday night but only for about 2 hours then it became general admission. Okay we are all about the party our girls were in the cage doing the dancing and up for the contests so it's all good. Saturday night comes and much to our surprise there is no VIP. Oh wait, they did set up a tent in the back 40 with tables, big deal.......That wasn't what we bought tickets for. The band was over before things even got started. We dumped a lot of money on this weekend with the hotel, food, beer, vendors, VIP tickets, oh yes and then we went to the bar above the truck stop and spent another ton of money to finish off the weekend. I think when they decided to cancel the VIP they should have given each of us our money back. We are a fun loving group we make the most of any party even if we need to make our own. Just FYI not sure we'll make the trip again. We can head down to ARKANSAS just as easy. We go to a rally about every weekend of the summer there is always another one to go to.
ALSO DO SOMETHING WITH THAT MC. HE LOVES HIS OWN VOICE. THEY HAD TO DRAG HIM OUT OF THERE LAST YEAR AND I WISH YOU WOULD HAVE THIS YEAR. DRUNK OR NOT HE DOESN'T KNOW THAT WHEN YOU TALK TO MUCH IT'S JUST THAT **TO MUCH** IT TAKES A LOT FOR SOME OR THOSE WOMEN TO GET UP THERE AND PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT FOR US WHEN THEY ARE DOING THERE THING LEAVE THEM ALONE. THEY DON'T NEED TO BE TOLD WHAT TO DO, LET THEM BE AND DO WHAT THEY ARE COMFORTABLE WITH. THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT GREAT, NOT FORCED. WHEN THE CROWD HAS BEEN HEARD AND WE KNOW WHO THE WINNER IS LET IT GO!!!!!! WHEN YOU JUST DRAG IT ON AND ON BECAUSE YOUR FAVORITE DIDN'T WIN THAT'S WHEN THE CROWD WILL TURN ON YOU. THAT'S WHAT WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN FRIDAY NIGHT. |

well the above message about says everything i was getting on here to say ! so thanks for writing that thread saves me allot of typing.
over all the rally SUCKED. the VIP tickets were a joke !! last year was fun,having the cage fights inside and the bike show inside as well,this year it started off not seeming to bad outside and NO bike show. but like was said the VIP section went to crap then the MC gomer just made a mess of the rest.
then sat. the ride in show went good but the rest was ate up again .NO VIP treatment at all . 3.00 for a 8oz cup of beer no free food or waitress and on and on. but we did get to listen to the MC again all day and all night. he screwed the real winner of the wet t-shirt contest by giving it to the younger girl not the one the crowd cheered most for. and did it again with the leather and lace. must have been related to them.
and the bands were done playing by 10:30 !! thank goodness for the bar at the end off the road cause there wasn't nothing else to do.
all in all it was a bad rally, we had fun with good friends and made our own fun. but i wouldn't even think of next year cause ya done pooped in your bonnett,. see everyone in Arkansas next year !!!

our group has been there for 2 years in a row .... fire mc!!!!!!!!!
but if you don't thats ok, we won't be back. try starting over cause what your doing doesn't work.

Thanks for the input. We make some changes each year based on feedback that we receive. I will bring your comments to our planning meeting. |

I love how I sent an e-mail to the organizers of this rally reguarding the fact that we had several other couples with us that we told how they needed to pay the extra for VIP based on last year, we did, they did, but your organization didn't. I thought you would at the very least refund some of the money that you all but stole from us. I have to say you taking our unhappy replys to a meeting really does not help....... Most of the rallys that we attend have the respect for the bikers to refund money when they cant come through with what they are selling. You will find that you may be to late to change things, you may not have anyone show up to your rally next year. That would be a shame. But we all hear Ark. is a great time and not to far either. |
